Fayetteville State coach Eric Tucker could’ve raised his voice and yelled “I told you so” a few times. The Broncos women’s basketball players struggled in exactly the areas their coach expected — free throws, defense and ball handling. All of which contributed to an 81-72 FSU loss in its season and CIAA opener against Virginia State on Tuesday in Capel Arena. “This game here was a 9-1-1 call to them so they can start hearing these situations coming,” Tucker said. “I liken it to practice when I told them their free throws would kill them.
