AHN Staff Washington, D.C. (AHN) - House Minority Whip Roy Blunt (R-MO) said on Sunday that he was willing to support a second economic stimulus package, but only if it does not give Democrats "an excuse" to allow more spending for public works. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Democrats will be holding an economic forum on Monday to shore up support for a second economic stimulus package. "Just as the President and Congress worked together in recent weeks on an economic rescue plan to help bring stability to our financial markets, we must now take additional action and pass a jobs creation and economic recovery stimulus plan," Pelosi said in a statement last week.
