In the midst of the global financial crisis, Queensland Treasurer Andrew Fraser is leading an 11-day trade mission to attract new investors to the state. Mr Fraser says he is taking the Queensland Treasury Corporation (QTC) delegation to the major financial centres around the world. He says Australia has a strong economy and Queensland offers opportunities to investors looking for new places to spend their money. "We stand to be able to attract those people with money to invest. who continue to want to invest, who are looking at other markets around the world, looking for a quality place for investment and Australia and Queensland can be that place," he said.
