Associated Press - October 12, 2008 4:53 PM ET WASHINGTON (AP) - Members of the World Bank have agreed to protect poor and vulnerable countries in the current financial turmoil. The bank and the International Monetary Fund are wrapping up their annual meetings in Washington. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson warned them today of the dangers of "inward-looking policies." PARIS (AP) - France's President Nicolas Sarkozy (sahr-koh-ZEE') says countries that use the euro will temporarily guarantee bank refinancing to ease the credit crunch.
