A small area of land with a large symbolic meaning will be the site of an Olympic park in Towson Maryland. The park will be dedicated to the achievements of Maryland's Olympic athletes. Tim Williams explains, the park will also help area merchants cash in on Phelps. Well, it kind of looks like an Olympic medal and to many, it may look like just an empty lot. However, the development plan for the small grassy section just off Joppa Road at Towson's traffic circle, is of Olympic proportions. Baltimore County will re-dedicate to Olympic champions, Towson Circle Park, on York Road as Baltimore County Olympic Park. It is named to honor all of Maryland's Olympic heroes.
