Washington (PTI): Amid continued financial crisis and early signs of recession appearing in the developed countries, India on Sunday asked multilateral funding agencies to play a vital role in global economic affairs to ensure more inclusive and sustainable globalisation. "It is an opportunity to make the (World) Bank a more responsive, credible and relevant organisation so that it continues to play a vital role in global economic affairs and to realign the bank's role in pursuit of the vision of a more inclusive and sustainable globalisation.
