Cong leaders cautious about Amar Singh

BY OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT New Delhi Oct. 12: "Be on guard" is the motto of Congress leaders and ministers when it comes to dealing with Mr Amar Singh in the new political set-up. Mr Singh has more critics and few admirers in the ruling party and all of them are weary of the ways of the Samajwadi Party general secretary. This is because Congress leaders believe Mr Singh is not a straight person and could use ingenious ways to trap them. Mr Singh’s style of functioning has made senior ministers and leaders to be business-like with him. Some leaders fear going to his residence because he has direct access to the Prime Minister.
