It was a full Saturday night of folk aesthetics of 3 bands, starting from 9 p.m. and ending around 1 a.m. The venue itself is a small cultural arena, basically the audience is on two levels, which form a half circle in front of the stage. It surely is a good place for this type of music from the audience's perspective. When thinking about this type of music - perhaps neo-folk (=new type of folk), is the best single description of their music - there are not conceptually many similar fields of music, with rather large popularity. I mean that these artists are clearly testing the boundaries of folk music with a new approach, in playing, composing and arranging and in instruments themselves, and those new methods are not really limited to rock aesthetics either.
