Hurdler set to shine in Pune

HURDLER Muhd Ajmal Mat Hasan is a youngster with potential to excel in the 2010 Olympic Youth Games in Singapore. The 15-year-old Muhd Ajmal, according to his coach Ishtiaq Mobarak, has been showing progress and has been selected for next week’s Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India. Although it was a last minute call up, we have kept him in racing condition and he has to adjust to the hurdle clearance height for the Commonwealth Youth Games. “The hurdle will be set at one level lower than the senior height. He needs to exert more strength to clear the hurdles and find his balance to maintain the rhythm to complete the race.
