SAN FRANCISO—International Rectifier Corp. said Friday (Oct. 10) that shareholders re-elected three board members over candidates pushed by Vishay Intertechnology Inc. Vishay (Malvern, Pa.) last month launched a $1.7 billion tender offer to acquire IR after earlier bids were rejected by IR's board of directors. The two companies have since engaged in a war of words, exchanging long open letters to IR shareholders over the issue. IR (El Segundo, Calif.) said Friday that preliminary results from its annual meeting show that shareholders re-elected Jack O. Vance, Thomas Lacey and Mary B. Cranston.
