Police have charged three teenage males and one adult male in a series of robberies that occurred in the Mount Vernon area. The first robbery occurred on July 8 around 2:50 a.m. In that robbery, a teenage male entered the Sunoco gas station, located at 8300 Richmond Highway, and began talking to an employee. Two other teenage males then entered the store wearing bandanas that covered their faces. They produced knives and demanded money. The victim complied and all three suspects fled the store. Then, on Monday, Sept. 1, two robberies occurred within 90 minutes of each other. Around 12:50 a.m. a man was walking in the area of Buckman Road and Groombridge Way when he was approached by several males. One suspect brandished a gun and used it to strike the victim.
