No Fiji Day joy for frustrated patients

YESTERDAY's Fiji Day celebrations did not go down well with people who turned up for treatment at the CWM Hospital. About 30 frustrated people waiting outside the hospital's emergency ward expressed concern to The Fiji Times about the slow service. Some had come in as early as 6am. "But it was no use because it's 10am now and I am still waiting to be called in by a doctor," said Rosa Yalayala form Laucala Bay. "My daughter is very sick. She a has stomach ache and is vomiting but no one here is bothered." Anish Chand said he brought in a boy who'd cut his fingers and he was not seen for at least an hour and a half. "The service is really slow," Mr Chand said. Pranil Krishna said: "They keep telling us they will call us inside but they haven't - we keep waiting," he said.
