750 doctors to be appointed in PHCs, district hospitals

Appointments to be finalised by October 15 Website to promote homeopathy inaugurated CHENNAI: A total of 750 doctors will be appointed next week to fill up vacancies in primary health centres, district and taluk-level hospitals, Health Minister MRK Panneerselvam said on Friday. The appointments would be finalised by October 15, Mr.Panneerselvam added, speaking at the inaugural of the State Campaign on Homeopathy for Mother and Child Care, organised by the Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy and Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health. He said over 4,000 doctors had been appointed over the last couple of years and 1,200 nurses were appointed last week.
