Chief Minister to double grant for dining hall Rs. 1 crore allocated to celebrate Kanakadasa Jayanthi Udupi: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa said on Friday that National Integration Councils (NICs) should be formed at the State, district and taluk levels in the country. He was inaugurating the “Anna Yajna” Dining Hall Complex of Sri Krishna Math/Temple, here. Mr. Yeddyurappa said such councils would help people of all religions and communities to live in harmony. It would help in facilitating unity and integrity of the country. He would discuss this issue with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
