Hackers and ferrets attackfest Sept./October

Dear Readers, I am still securing and restoring my computer systems from September’s well-documented hackerfest (with apologies for the negative connotations I cast on that term, to those who consider some hackers well-meaning). Some of the malware (such as Trojans and viruses) is slipping through many commonly-used protection programs, including Trend Micro. Even large institutions’ enterprise-level firewalls are reportedly being breached, as have the Department of Defense, FBI, DEA, State Department and White House.
