ROCHESTER – Albany Engineered Composites (AEC), located in Granite State Business Park behind Skyhaven Airport, plans to grow by expanding its existing facility by up to 100,000 square feet, and creating 200 new jobs over the next several years. The announcement was made recently by Karen Pollard of the Rochester Economic Development Office. AEC selected Rochester over several other competing sites because the City agreed to support the expansion with land acquisition assistance and to help with the permitting process and coordination of expansion activities. AEC located in Rochester in 1988 on Chestnut Hill Road. The company expanded in 2000 to the Granite State Business Park and again in 2007, increasing its employment to 173 people and total square footage to 129,000.
