Forbes Magazine dated October 27, 2008 Jonathan Schwartz, who goes by the name Bluewater Jon, trolls for big game--tuna and marlin--from his kayak. Last year he caught a 150-pound striped marlin off Cabo San Lucas on the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula in Mexico. "When I landed my first big one, some chemical reaction went off inside of me and I knew this would be my thing," he says of kayak fishing. Guide and sea captain Alec Griswold, owner of ACK Kayak in Nantucket, Mass., offers anglers a modern variant of a "Nantucket sleigh ride"--that's what 18th-century whalers called being dragged in a rowboat at 25 knots behind a harpooned and enraged whale.
