In a ball cap and North Face windbreaker, Justin Veltung watched his Puyallup High School teammates practice Thursday, waiting for his cell phone to ring. “My doctor’s going to call me with my MRI results,” the elusive and athletic senior said. “We’ll see what he says.” Veltung tweaked his left foot in the third quarter of last week’s 35-7 win over Spanaway Lake.
