By JEFF SEIDEL • FREE PRESS STAFF WRITER • October 10, 2008 More than 270 students gathered around Principal Tony Kruzman this afternoon on a hill behind Pine Lake Elementary School in Orchard Lake, as they remembered second-grade teacher Bob Schrupp, who died in an Oct. 2 car crash. “Think of a happy thought for Mr. Schrupp,” Kruzman told the children. “We want you to blow some bubbles and say it out loud.” Kruzman dipped a wand into the container. “Mr. Shrupp was a wonderful teacher,” Kruzman said and blew bubbles into the air. “Let’s fill the sky with happy thoughts.” Schrupp, 48, taught in the Bloomfield Hills School District for 22 years.
