$53 Million Mine Cleanup Plan Approved

The Environmental Protection Agency has approved a $53 million plan to clean up the Gilt Edge gold mine in the Black Hills. The open-pit mine was closed in 1999 after Brohm Mining Co. went broke, sticking taxpayers with the cleanup costs.
