CHARGES against a Brisbane chef could be upgraded following police fears an elderly man he attacked in a Fortitude Valley restaurant might not survive the weekend. Travis Jay Myles, 27, was refused bail in the Brisbane Magistrate's Court yesterday after allegedly bashing a 75-year-old diner. The court was told the man was allegedly set upon after intervening in a disagreement between Myles and a waitress at Mellino's restaurant, on busy Brunswick St. The drama unfolded in front of shocked onlookers after the chef was sacked about 1.30pm on Thursday, the court heard.
