Where’s Teehankee’s good conduct record?

By Allison Lopez Philippine Daily Inquirer MANILA, Philippines -- The presiding judge of the Makati court that convicted Claudio Teehankee Jr. of for murder said Friday that the Board of Pardons and Parole failed to provide any documents showing the inmate's "good behavior" and "degree of remorse" when it sought its recommendation for executive clemency in 2004. Judge Cesar Santamaria of the Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 145 said the board sought the court's recommendation as procedure but strangely enough, they were not furnished papers on Teehankee's conduct behind bars. "We stated in our letter that we cannot comment as requested because the letter itself did not include the report needed as basis for the comment like the prisoner's behavior during incarceration, his degree of remorse.
