Pomeroy has again backed out of a proposal to take private the Northern Kentucky IT firm he founded in 1981. Pomeroy IT Solutions says that David Pomeroy told the firm this week that he was backing out of what is his second bid this year to purchase the outstanding stock of the company. In April David Pomeroy made his first offer for the firm at $7.05 a share. That deal fell through in May when his financial partner Charles Capital Partners LLC backed out of the plan. Less than a week later, David Pomeroy followed up with an alternative offer of $6 a share – a bid made jointly ComVest Investments Partners II LP, a West Palm Beach, Fla.-based private equity fund.
