Edwards out, Woodward in

Laura Chaput, Managing Editor Bob Woodward will deliver the first public policy lecture on Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. in the Church Steet Center. Woodward is a renowned journalist who exposed the Watergate Scandal alongside fellow journalist, Carl Bernstein's at the Washington Post in 1973. Originally, U.S Sen. John Edwards was invited to speak at the public policy lecture, however, when he began cancelling his speaking tours, plans changed. "It was better for us to have cancelled him first," said Marianne Drake, alumni-development. "That way, we could have control over our event."
