Marion L. “Bud” Philllips [Ridgeley]

Cumberland Times-News RIDGELEY, W.Va. — Marion “Bud” Lee Philllips, 81, of Ridgeley, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 at the Golden Living Center. Born July 12, 1927 in Parsons, W.Va., he was the son of the late Marion James Phillips and Alice Lee (Howsare) Phillips. He was also preceded in death by his son, David Wesley Phillips. Bud was retired from CSX where he had been a pipe fitter. He attended the First Baptist Church in Fort Ashby, W.Va. Survivors include his wife, Jane (Perry) Phillips; three daughters, Valerie Whitacre and husband Ed, Fort Ashby, Gwendolyn Hoffmaster and husband Michael, Fairmont, W.Va. and Eileen Price and husband Michael, Parsons; seven grandchildren, Lisa Yarwasky and husband Toby, Charlotte, N.C., Julie Shreve and husband Bruce Flintstone, Md., Sarah Bertolasio and husband Barry, Virginia Beach, Va.,...
