PLNU's Downing earns Gold Glove Award

Point Loma Nazarene University outfielder Kahoi Downing was among nine NAIA players recognized for outstanding defensive play this season with the Rawlings Gold Glove Award. Downing, who batted .339 for the Sea Lions with eight homers, 35 RBI and 35 stolen bases, made 109 putouts and had nine assists. The award was expanded to the college and high school levels last year.
