By CARLTON WILKINSON • Correspondent • October 10, 2008 STAR PIANIST AND CULTURAL sensation Lang Lang will be appearing at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center Oct. 19 in a performance of both Chopin piano concertos with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra led by Neeme Jarvi. Lang Lang is the 26-year-old Chinese superstar who played at the opening of the Summer Olympics in Beijing in August, an event reportedly viewed by billions of people around the world. He can lay claim to being the first Chinese pianist to be engaged as soloist with several of the world's leading orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic.
