Movie Review: Lakeview Terrace exceeds expectations

Good cop, bad cop is a theme in any police show. Sometimes good cops behave badly, and sometimes bad cops work for the side of good for a while. But either way it doesn't leave the station. Lakeview Terrace is a case of good cop, bad neighbor-really bad neighbor. Chris and Lisa Mattson are newlyweds who just bought their first home in the infamous Lakeview Terrace in Las Angeles. In case, like myself, you were four years old in 1991, Lakeview Terrace was where the whole Rodney King incident occurred. As you might imagine given the setting, race is a major player in the plot of this film. Chris, played by Tony Award nominee Patrick Wilson, is a white man who works for a liberal-minded grocery store called Good. I'm thinking not-so-subtle allegory.
