A man's legacy is built upon decades of selfless contributions. The second annual Chris Bond T-Burg Rotary 5K Run and Walk & Youth Run will take at 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 19, beginning and ending on the Trumansburg school campus. Chris Bond was a long-time Trumansburg educator, soccer coach and mentor to generations of youth and scholastic soccer players in the Interscholastic Athletic Conference. He died last year after a prolonged battle with cancer. Proceeds from the event will be used to benefit the Chris Bond Memorial Scholarship Fund, Trumansburg Rotary Programs and the construction of soccer shelters on two fields. Race-day registration will be open from 8:30-9:45 a.m. at the school. The 5K race will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a youth run, for kids 12-under, at 10:05.
