Health Events Address L.B. Communities

The fourth annual Khmer Health Forum will teach community members about the risks and importance of nutrition and testing for cervical cancer, HPV and HIV/AIDS. Also today, the Long Beach Alliance for Food and Fitness is starting an ambitious two-day symposium to talk about physical fitness, healthy food choices, childhood obesity and how to move toward a citywide initiative for better all-around health in Long Beach. More than 100 residents attended last year's Khmer Health Forum and another robust crowd is expected this year, according to Chan Hopson, president of the Khmer Parent Association and a sponsor of the event.
