SAN JOSE, Calif.— It’s been a pretty busy week for Benjamin Watson, and it’s possible things might be staying that way. The Patriots have two tight ends on their 53-man roster and David Thomas didn’t practice yesterday due to the flu, according to the Patriots. That left Watson and rookie Tyson DeVree, who’s on the practice squad, to work with positional coach Pete Mangurian during the second of three workouts the team will hold at San Jose State in preparation for Sunday’s game at San Diego.
