Two Bowdens down for Skinner, No. 21 Wake

Wake Forest is off to its best ACC start in two decades. Riley Skinner and the 21st-ranked Demon Deacons had to go through two Bowdens to do it. Skinner threw a 7-yard scoring pass to D.J. Boldin with 5:28 left to lead No. 21 Wake Forest past Clemson 12-7 on Thursday night. He completed 22 of 34 passes for 186 yards, added a career-high 74 more yards rushing and led the decisive 15-play, 78-yard drive in the fourth quarter for the Demon Deacons (4-1, 2-0). It helped the Atlantic Division's only team with a perfect conference record win its first two league games for the first time since 1987.
