9am Briefing: Burley's job 'safe' regardless of Scotland result

Published Date: 09 October 2008 SFA chief executive Gordon Smith insists George Burley's job will be safe regardless of Scotland's World Cup performance, it has been reported. Ahead of the country's game against Norway on Saturday, he is reported as saying the manager has nothing to worry about. He said: "He's tended to be judged so far by game. But the SFA are certainly not judging him. His position isn't under threat Gordon says Burley is calmest boss SCOTLAND goalkeeper Craig Gordon has announced manager George Burley is one of the calmest bosses around.
