Botswana Ranks Third in Resource Investment Safety

Posted to the web 10 October 2008 Botswana has been ranked third in a list of 10 top countries with the least risk for resource sector investment. The ranking has been done by leading resources publication, 'RESOURCESTOCKS' 2008 World Risk Survey. The survey covered 74 countries in the world with Botswana and Namibia as the only African nations in the top 10. Other African nations that did well in the survey include Ghana, Malawi and Madagascar, while Somalia, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria and Burundi fared badly. Finland was ranked first followed by Canada and Botswana and Australia. The Northern Territory, New South Wales and Tasmania were fifth, sixth and seventh.
