Congo-Kinshasa: Monuc Donates Desks to Girls' School in Mbuji Mayi

Posted to the web 10 October 2008 Chris Mukand MONUC regional office in Eastern Kasaï donated over 150 desks to the girls' secondary school "Lycée Muanjadi" in Mbuji Mayi on Wednesday 8 October 2008. MONUC's gesture estimated at about US$ 7,000 is a quick impact project. "Muanjadi secondary school" has educated several women in Eastern Kasai who are now playing an important role in the society. The school used to be well equipped as it received grants from MIBA, a Mining firm. The school is now facing the same difficulties with the majority of the public schools.
