Research and Markets has announced the addition of the "The Medical Device Market: Slovakia" report to its offering. In a release, Research and Markets noted that report highlights include: Slovakia represents one of the smaller Central and Eastern European medical device markets, but is the fifth largest in per capita terms. While Slovakia remains less wealthy than its former partner, the Czech Republic, it is now very much a Western-facing market, with the EU-15 accounting for around 60 percent of medical device imports in 2006. There is a tradition of medical device manufacturing in Slovakia, but domestic production is increasingly unable to compete with Western imports.
