PARADE HONORS A TOP MILITARY HERO WHen Admiral Edmund Giambastiani Jr., got word that he'd been named the Grand Marshal of the 64th Annual Columbus Day Parade, the highly decorated military officer says he was humbled. But as it started sinking in that he would be the one leading his people up Fifth Avenue at the largest cultural celebration of Italian-Americans in the nation, his humility turned to ancestral pride. "I thought about my family, my grandparents, my mother and father. How excited they'd all be to know that I'll be proudly representing our family and all Italian-Americans," he recalls.
