FSU quarterback Ponder OK after auto accident

TALLAHASSEE -- Four days after leading Florida State to a victory at Miami, sophomore quarterback Christian Ponder found himself in a harrier situation. Ponder and punter Graham Gano were returning from a speaking engagement at a Tallahassee middle school Wednesday when another driver swerved into their lane at a busy intersection. Ponder's SUV was nearly totaled, but he and Gano were not injured. ''I'm fine,'' said Ponder, who was not cited in the accident. ``It was a pretty bad wreck, actually.''
