Ministers have bowed to pressure from MPs to ensure Natural England carries out a study into the "lessons learned" from the contentious proposal to create a single path around England's coastline. Westcountry campaigners fear the plan could impact on the livelihood of homeowners and businesses, including campsites and hotels. They argue the change in the law is unnecessary for the region, where the South West coastal path has developed over the last 40 years.
