The Bruins began the season last night carrying 22 players, one extra forward and one extra defenseman. “It’s a numbers thing,” coach Claude Julien said of the Sobotka demotion. “He played well and he obviously went down with the right attitude. He played with us for more than half the year last year. We’ll see him back. I’m not worried about him being sent down and left there.
