Great expectations for Rangers as new season approaches

At this time last year, the Rangers opened their season at Madison Square Garden to a booming ovation welcoming two top-flight (and top-dollar) additions, hopes - no, expectations - swirling about the building. Befitting the moment, Drury - in his first game at the Garden since burying the Rangers in the playoffs a few months before - scored the game-winning goal, the Rangers beat Florida, and all was peachy on Broadway. So peachy, in fact, that by the third period, the Garden reverberated with chants of "We want the Cup!"
