Pitt gives Berenato 3-year extension

By Kevin Gorman TRIBUNE-REVIEW Friday, October 10, 2008 Leading the Pitt women's basketball team to its first NCAA Sweet 16 appearance has paid dividends for Agnus Berenato, who was rewarded with a three-year contract extension through the 2015-16 season. Berenato wasted no time using it as an enticement on the recruiting trail, pre-empting Thursday's announcement by letting the news slip during a recent home visit -- to the surprise of two Pitt assistants accompanying her. "It won't be the last job I ever take, but it's my last coaching job," Berenato said. "I hope to finish my career at this university."
