The Saints' so-so defense made A.P. their sole focus and found success, holding the Vikings running back to 32 yards on 21 carries. That's 1.5 hard-fought yards per carry. Not good. The Lions just may adopt the same strategy, but their woeful run defense is even worse away from home. Atlanta's Michael Turner burned them for 220 yards and two scores in the opener, and Frank Gore galloped for 130 and a touchdown in San Francisco. If this trend holds, Peterson ought to have a huge game in his home dome. He's due anyway, with 189 yards over his last three games after rushing for 263 in the first two.
