By John Henley Jr. THE MORNING NEWS ROGERS -- Almost everyone agrees something needs to be done at Lake Atalanta, but what they can't agree on is what that something is. Rogers residents spoke at a public meeting about their ideas for Lake Atalanta on Thursday in the former skating rink building. John Mack of JKJ Architects and Dwight Heasley, a landscape architect with CEI Engineering Associates Inc., presented some ideas and slides of possible projects. JKJ and CEI were chosen by the Rogers Parks Commission to devise a plan for the renovation. The ideas ranged from trails through the woods to a boardwalk around the lake, from an amphitheater to a decorative mill similar to The Old Mill in North Little Rock.
