The cost of fuel in Indiana has dropped steadily since hitting $4.18 per gallon of regular unleaded in mid-September. As of Thursday, the average cost per gallon of regular unleaded in Evansville was $3.35, 6 cents cheaper than Wednesday's prices and 37 cents cheaper than one month ago, according to AAA's Fuel Gauge Report.
