Latapy to help out Trinidad & Tobago

Published Date: 10 October 2008 VETERAN Falkirk midfielder Russell Latapy is set to be pitched in tomorrow to rescue Trinidad & Tobago's World Cup hopes – even if he is now more interested in coaching. The 40-year-old is poised to play his first international game in two years after being lured out of retirement to aid his country's stuttering qualifying bid. Latapy was appointed player-assistant coach to Francisco Maturana for vital qualifiers against Guatemala tomorrow and the USA on Wednesday, as the third-placed Caribbeans seek to emerge from their CONCACAF group.
