Friday, October 10, 2008 By our correspondent LAHORE: The Lahore Bar Association (LBA) on Thursday announced to lock the lower courts after October 30, the day fixed as deadline for the restoration of deposed chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, including all the remaining deposed judges. This ultimatum was given during the general house meeting of the LBA. Engineer Saleem Ullah, chief of Jamiat-e-Ulema Pakistan, was also present in the meeting. Earlier, like the previous general house meeting of the LBA, a war of slogans erupted between two groups of lawyers where a group was chanting “Chief Tere Jan Nisar Beshumar Beshumar” while the other group was chanting “Jiway Jiway, Bhutto Jiway”.
