Police convene peace meet Three country bombs, gun powder seized KANNUR: Tension prevailed at Taliparamba following bomb attacks on shops owned by workers of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML). Meeting of local political party leaders and representatives of traders called by Taliparamba Deputy Superintendent of Police P.K. Jayaraj at Taliparamba on Friday called for restoring peace in the town. Two shops had come under the bomb attack on Wednesday and Thursday. The tension broke out when a country-made bomb was hurled at a fertilizer shop run by CPI(M) sympathiser K. Manoharan on Wednesday night.
