Berlin - German police staged raids on Thursday on a far-right group suspected of using Hitler Youth-style camps to indoctrinate young people in Nazi ideology, the interior ministry said. The nationwide raids at 06:00 (04:00 GMT) on the "Heimattreue Deutsche Jugend" ("German youth true to the homeland") group saw about 100 flats and other premises used by at least 100 people searched, a ministry spokesperson said. The spokesperson declined to comment on whether people under 18 were targeted in the operation, which also saw unspecified materials seized.
