Exports Up In Mountain State

MetroNews Charleston, Kanawha County According to reports, West Virginia is currently number one in the nation for economic growth. Not only that, but international exports for the state are surpassing the national average. "Never once were we ranked number one in our national economy. I just think it's because we poised ourselves. We paid down debt. The attitude's changed. It truly is a new West Virginia," says Governor Joe Manchin The Rockefeller Institute for Government says West Virginia had 2.2-percent growth in its economy from May to August. As far as the exports, the Governor says West Virginia is currently exporting 43-percent of its products internationally. That beats the national average of 18-percent.
